Also scheduled for action are Maryland-based welterweight Emmanuel “Tranzformer” Taylor (6-0, 5 KOs), and Patterson, New Jersey’s Elvin “KoKo” Sanchez (3-0, 3 KOs) and two more fights that are currently TBA.
The all-star celebrity guest list reads like a Hall of Fame induction ceremony list and includes legendary middleweight champion Jake “Raging Bull” LaMotta, heavyweight immortals Evander “The Real Deal” Holyfield and “Smokin” Joe Frazier, all-time pound-for-pound legend Pernell “Sweet Pea” Whitaker, boxing historian and well-known spokesman Burt Sugar, celebrated welterweight king Emile Griffith, former heavyweight title challenger “Gentleman” Gerry Cooney, former welterweight champion Mark Breland, former super lightweight champion “Vicious” Vivian Harris, former Olympian and heavyweight contender Tyrell Biggs and the great Lou Duva himself, who will be honored for his 88th birthday.
